Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you can ignore the pain of small attacks. When you enter a rage, you gain a Damage Threshold equal to twice your proficiency bonus until your rage ends. You have immunity to all damage unless you take an amount of damage from a single source that is equal to or greater than your Damage Threshold, in which case you take damage as normal. Any damage that fails to meet or exceed your Damage Threshold is considered superficial and doesn’t reduce your Hit Points. This is calculated after any resistances or other reductions in the damage.
For example, if you have a damage threshold of 6 and are hit by an attack that deals 5 damage, you take no damage from that attack. If an attack deals 8 damage, you take the full 8 damage.
Possible alts
1d4 per 1/3 level: 3-5(1d4), 6-8(2d4), 9-11(3d4), 12-14(4d4), 15-17(5d4), 18-20(6d4)
1d4 per Prof: 3-4(2d4), 5-8(3d4), 9-12(4d4), 13-16(5d4), 17-20(6d4)
Double prof: 3-4 (4), 5-8 (6), 9-12 (8), 13-16 (10), 17-20 (12) <-- I like this one but I think I would prefer one based on barbarian level rather than char level
Triple prof: 3-4 (6), 5-8 (9), 9-12 (12), 13-16 (15), 17-20 (18)
1/2 level: 3 (1), 4-5 (2), 6-7 (3), 8-9 (4), 10-11 (5), 12-13 (6), 14-15 (7), 16-17 (8), 18-19 (9), 20 (10)
Expend a hit die: 3-10 (1d12+CON), 11-20 (2d12+CON) <-- fairly easy to get 17 dmg threshold even at lv3, maybe too strong
CON: 3-10 (0-5), 11+ (2x, 0-10), 18+ (score, 0-24+) <--high con chars already have lots of hp, maybe not this one
Rage dmg: 3-8(2), 9-15(3), 16+ (4)
2x rage dmg: 3-8 (4), 9-15 (6), 16+ (8)
3x rage dmg: 3-8 (6), 9-15 (9), 16+ (12)
Flat: 3-4 (4), 5-9 (6), 10-14 (8), 15-20 (10)
Non-magical dmg only? nah
Choose 3 dmg types, increases more types at higher levels?
Maybe move this to lv6?
Specify if this applies before or after resistance (I think after)
Power through now applies to all damage, including magical
Can to give someone else in 10ft your threshold (reaction?)
gain a painless die to make a dmg threshold for 1min. the die increases as you level up (either a larger die or larger pool of dice)
Starting at 3rd level, you have a pool of d4s equal to your proficiency bonus. As a bonus action you can roll any number of these d4s and gain a damage threshold equal to the result of the rolls plus your constitution modifier. This damage threshold last for 1 minute, and ends early if you are incapacitated or expend any more of these d4s.
For the duration, you have immunity to all damage unless you take an amount of damage from a single Attack or Effect equal to or greater than your Damage Threshold, in which case you take damage as normal. Any damage that fails to meet or exceed your Damage Threshold is considered superficial and doesn’t reduce your Hit Points.
For example, if you have a damage threshold of 6, and you would take 4 damage from an attack, you can ignore this damage. However, if you would take 12 damage from an attack, you take the full 12 damage.
Maybe reduce the number of dice or limit to one per use (currently a lv3 can potentially get a dt of 13 and lv17 could get 39)?
Maybe just a simpler thing where you can reduce all non-magical damage by a scaling amount.
