Use the sidebar to view WIP subclasses. The below is a list of concepts, some of which can be found in the sidebar.
Tattooist. Can produce magic tattoos (possibly as infusions).
Wandsmith. Can produce special wands to enhance spells (similar to metamagic or innvocations). Maybe gets uncommon wands as infusions.
Gunsmith/Arbalest. Similar to artillerist but focused on actual weapon attacks (specifically ranged) rather than weapon-like spells/attacks (e.g. gets extra attack). Can make and modify various ranged weapons.
Biomancer. Can produce special grafts that enhance the wielder's abilities (e.g. bonus AC, natural weapons) and replace missing limbs.
Motorist. Vehicle based artificer that can give bonuses to vehicles such as extra speed, armor or removing the need for horses/wind. They can also make a small personal vehicle if they don't use an existing one. (Maybe imply these work on my Wheelchair too)
Chronologist. Time themed artificer. Mainly as I already have a few time based subclasses I feel like completing the set. Would likely have some sort of time gear or clock (not called temporal gearbox, I already made that) that alters the flow of time around them.
Cryogenicist. Ice based inventions/feature (basically mr freeze). Control based with slowing enemies and making them more vulnerable.
Path of the Gentle Soul. Barbarian that focuses more on protecting self and allies than damage. Gains bonuses for willingly ending rage or forgoing attacks/damage.
Path of the Painless One. Gets a damage threshold, making small attacks superficial.
Path of the Skinchanger. Get limited transformation feature (similar to lycanthropy). Too similar to path of the beast?
Path of the Primordial. Elemental focused subclass, likely gets resistance to all elemental while raging and maybe immunity at higher levels, plus the ability to absorb energy for extra dmg (i.e. they learn absorb elements spell), extra defense (e.g. temp hp) or even regain hit points.
Path of the TBD. Gets stronger the lower HP they have. e.g. they get certain effects while raging and below certain hp level (50%, 25%, 10%, 1hp):
Path of the TBD. Time based barbarian to complete the time set I have going. Rage may grant extra actions or there is a slowing aura around them during rage.
College of Chaos. Wild magic bard, grants chaotic benefits to those they inspire.
(rolltable result when using bardic inspiration) The target creature sees an image of you being killed or dragged away by a monstrous creature. You are effectively invisible to the target and it is inspired to honor your memory. When it uses your inspiration die, it can double the result and you cease to be invisible to it. If the target does not use your die, you stop being invisible to it after 10 minutes.
College of Impressions. Illusion focused bard with extra disguise and mimicry skills.
College of Fortunes. Gambling themed subclass.
College of TBD. Time based subclass again. This one likely revolves around making creatures lose sense of time as if enraptured or inebriated, effectively stunning or slowing them.
College of Chorus/Harmony. (Stolen from Luna) Bard with features that get stronger the more allies join in. e.g. when giving inspiration, another creature can use reaction to add a bonus to the roll (or maybe add extra die)
Maybe a feature with different types of chorus; haunting (gives frightened), charming (charms), rock (bonuses to attacks), divine (better healing)
Dragon Domain. Cleric that worships dragon (maybe summons kobolds as CD).
Null Domain. Atheist Cleric that gets anti-cleric/anti-magic features, such as reducing radiant dmg or counterspell.
Synthetic Domain. Cleric with features to help/hinder constructs.
Chaos Domain. Chaos cleric (maybe Wild magic).
Time Cleric (Revised). I have already made a time cleric but if I make a series of time subclasses, I may move some features around to make it more distinctly a cleric rather than generic time based class that happens to be cleric.
Circle of Chaos. Wild Magic druid. Wild shape gets extra effects.
Circle of Sands. Time based subclass again. Maybe wild shape into different age versions of self (i.e. younger is stronger/faster but older is wiser)
Circle of Winds/Seasons. Season based druid with heat and cold features (likely split in summer/winter or warm winds/cool winds)
Magebane. Antimagic contraptions (e.g. bolas to prevent somatic components)
Painless One. Gets a damage threshold, making small attacks superficial.
Hoplite. Spear+Shield focused fighter. Hoplite weapons give certain bonuses (includes spears, tridents etc.). maybe extra defence to nearby allies who also have shields
Demolisher. Specialises in damaging objects and creatures made of inorganic materials.
Temporal Fighter. Another time subclass. Echo knight already sort of covers this so maybe not. Or it could enhance action surge further (though that is already very strong)
Spiritual/Primal Knight. Like eldritch knight but with the druid list/theme instead.
Blood/Ancestral Knight. like eldritch knight but with the sorc list/theme instead.
Way of Chaos. Wild magic monk, special chaotic ki features.
Way of the Hook. Subclass based off Longshoreman's Hook (maybe just make a feat instead and do kensei).
Way of the Warden. Can enter a trance in which they can detect locations of all creatures in range by perceiving minute changes in air currents and temp (basically truesight and see through cover). This trance ends when making an attack, casting a spell etc.
Way of the Chronal Fist. Time based monk. monks are already very fast so this likely focuses more on slowing down enemies (e.g. attacks slow enemies), need to better or more usable than stunning strike.
(3rd or 6th level) Unarmed strike to increase or decrease a target's speed by xft (with a choice to forgo damage). Alternatively, higher level feature to effectively cast haste/slow with ki points.
(11th level) "Punch into next week" feature that might work like banishment.
Way of the Cryogenic Fist. Cold based monk
Oath of the Hunt. Gets ranged smites.
Oath of the Inquisition. Meant for faction in Caligos setting. Gets teleportation and investigation features.
Oath of Matrimony. Gets benefits from being near specific person (Similiar to Peace Cleric's emboldening bond)
Oath of Democracy/Jury. Powers based on votes of those around them (e.g. a smite that deals extra damage or charmed based on vote of x creatures within Xft)
Oath of Flow. Time based paladin. Maybe focused on ensuring things happen in the right order (with powers similar to clockwork sorc).
Oath of Poverty. Paladin that has sworn off material possessions except necessities. Get unarmed strike and unarmored bonuses and can smite with unarmed strikes. Gets bonuses for giving stuff away (or a feature that consumes money), maybe a sorc point style thing. Can survive on half as much food/water.
Wild. Wild magic ranger.
Timewalker. Time traveling ranger. Features/bonuses based on having been to other times (e.g. bonus to history for past or some form of foresight for future).
Possibly choose one of two paths; Past or Future. Maybe also gets bonuses against other time benders/travelers (i.e as if they were favored enemies)
Or x of 4 paths; ancient past (history bonuses), near past, near future (attack/ saving throw bonuses), ancient future (wisdom bonuses)
TBD. Inuit style ranger who can summon an igloo (tiny hut) or a dog sled and has some cold spells.
Wild. Found (or stole) a strange artifact that gives their sneak attacks and/or cunning action wild magic like effects.
TBD. Time rogue. Most likely some form of teleportation or ability to lay traps that deal sneak attack (i.e. you make an attack then set it to actually occur when the trap is triggered)
Gorgon. Gets feature to petrify enemies.
Dhampir. Vampiric sorcerer. Can heal self with sorc points. Can also regain sorc points by killing creatures.
TBD. Time Sorc. Unsure how this would manifest differently to other time casters.
Steal sorc points from future self (i.e. restore some imediately but recover fewer at next rest)
Arctic/Tundra/Mountain. Ice/cold themed sorc. (maybe frost giant or Jotun)
The Wild One. Wild magic warlock.
The Witch. Alchemist warlock?
Chained One. See Subdermal chains from obstructor if that class is not finished (think kratos's blales of chaos)
Frozen One. Patron sealed beneath permafrost
Energy Being. Elemental focused warlock that is not Genie or Dragon. Gets elemental spells and/or ability to change damage type of spells.
Arcanist. Wizard that somehow gets access all spell lists (perhaps limited by level or school).
Hemomancy. Admittedly blood mages are fairly common homebrew, might be fun to make my own though.
Nekomancy. Summons cats, it's just an entire subclass dedicated to a pun, that's it.
Puppetmastery. Moves creature around battlefield with magic strings.
Hydromancy. Water based magic. Maybe chooses between Ice, Water and Steam for powers (e.g. steam can deal fire dmg where they would normally deal cold OR has a feature that deals cold, blud or fire respectively)
Cryomancy. Ice themed caster. Can hold/slow enemies with frost.
Null/Vacuum. Portals that lead nowhere, effectively banishing or killing those who enter them
Bladed Portals. Portals themselves can be used to deal damage (e.g. closing on someone). Maybe specific rules for chopping off limbs with portals
Death. Portals to afterlife for necromancy stuff
Dreams. Portals into creature's minds, mental spells
Weave. Magic themed, gets extra caster stuff (e.g. a feature to cast higher level spells from any/wizard list)
Pocket. Focused on Deep Pockets feature. e.g. you can create a liveable space inside it (galder's tower style) or you can fit entire vehicles/ships inside.
Artillery/Munitions. make ranged weapons or make a quiver that produces magic ammo (similar to Hoard's Immaterial Weapon but for ranged). Choices of special ammo types (e.g. long distance, twined attack, elemental etc.)
Illusion. Magician style illusionist.
Space. Focuses on bending of space besides for portals, basically lots of forced movement stuff. e.g. create gravity well to pull people in (similar to graviturgy wizard I guess)
Force. Powers based on manipulation of various forces or fields (though maybe more fantasy flavored)
